POSITION SUMMARY:

The data scientist co-op will assist Advanced Analytics team within the Enterprise Analytics department at OLG. This position will assist the team in developing OLG’s capabilities in predictive modeling, machine learning, and GenAI works.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Build and prototype Generative AI applications using tools like LangChain, Streamlit, and vector databases

  • Collaborate with analysts and senior analysts to design and implement AI agents that solve real business problems

  • Leverage Python and LLM APIs to automate decision-making, enhance customer experiences, and streamline internal workflows

  • Perform prompt engineering, data wrangling, and visualization to support model performance and user feedback

  • Use SQL to retrieve and prepare data from our Hadoop-based data lake environment for AI model training and inference

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with GenAI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI API, HuggingFace, etc.)

  • Experience with Streamlit or similar tools to deploy interactive AI applications

  • Solid understanding of data science and automation workflows (Pandas, NumPy, Git, SQL)

  • Fast learner who thrives in a rapidly evolving AI landscape

  • Passionate about solving problems with cutting-edge AI and making ideas real through working prototypesStrong knowledge in Python and related packages (Python, Data Science, Machine Learning, Automation, Data Analytics, Git, Programming, SQ, Pandas, Numpy etc.)
