As a Software Engineer at Verily, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing products that are focused on the promise of precision health. Verily's core strategy to advance precision health is by closing the gap between research and care. The Consumer Health Systems team is responsible for developing data integrations, processing and display of multiple types of patient information including messaging, surveys, device and health record data. The team is composed of full-stack developers who focus on delivering warm, personalized experiences for patients/participants and an adaptive, streamlined experience bridging care delivery and clinical research worlds. The mission of the Application Framework team is to produce a modular, scalable and highly reliable system to serve and support Verily web application development. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will bring your strong programming skills, technical expertise, design skills and teamwork to delivering the Precision Health Application Framework, ensuring Verily application development is an excellent experience.
Work closely with the development team and application teams to develop, deliver and support new application services.
Anticipate and author ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions
Develop using industry-standard tools including Node.js, React, TypeScript, Webpack, npm/pnpm, Kubernetes, and Cypress to name a few.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify dependencies, coordinate delivery, communicate design decisions and define requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering
At least 5 years experience as a full-stack software engineer in an industry setting, primarily focused on front end
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
Deep Node, React and Web Development fundamentals
Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents
Ability to facilitate productive discussions across the extended team
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise with NX, asset bundlers, and related tools
Solid understanding of single-spa architecture
Solid understanding of MFE design
Testing experience (BDD, Integration)
Agile production methods (Jira)
Compensation Information
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 146,500- 164,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
